The DMX signal connector for indoor and outdoor use IP67. has 3 contacts - male - aerial - IP 67.

Making use of its 3 pins / pins, we have 2 equal signals and a third one which is a ground signal. One signal is inverted and sent completely out with the other; in other words, the 2 signals are inverted and exchanged with each other.

DMX stands for Digital Multiplex. DMX is a universal protocol used by most manufacturers of lighting desks and robotic or static projectors (e.g. Triton-Blue) and is used as a means of communication between fixtures and controllers.

The DMX signal can be linked between fixtures via a cascade connection. The DMX cable with the original signal comes out of a DMX controller and is sent to the first fixture in the DMX link. All DMX-supported fixtures have DMX input and output connectors.

The DMX dimming system establishes a two-way communication from the master to the luminaires and allows the luminaires to send feedback or control information to the control master. The DMX dimming system makes it possible to discriminate between the luminaires, as it works on a directional basis.
